  • Provides evaluation, engineering/design and implementation services for new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.
  • Provides escalation support to Tier 1 and 2 engineers.
  • Demonstrates creativity and takes initiative in problem solving.
  • Resolves or facilitates resolution of complex problems for assigned program.
  • Has a thorough and comprehensive mastery of supported platforms/products and environments.
  • Focuses the majority of time on complex engineering, architectural and implementation tasks.
  • Project assignments are large in scope and are highly complex. Provide exceptional customer service to end users, Business Stakeholders and other members of ITD.
  • Perform daily production support activities. Participate in team on-call rotations.
  • Perform patching and code deployments across all environments Lead projects associated to the enhancement, upgrade/patching, or implementation of new or existing technology solutions.
  • Coordinate implementation and support efforts between ITD Operations and other ITD teams.
  • Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Provide oversight and facilitation of the ITD change management process as it applies to the ITD Operations team.
  • Review, recommend and monitor the source code/versioning management function adhering to technical management guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and ownership of issues across multiple disciplines and technologies.
  • Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and alerting process across all ITD Operations platforms.
  • With oversight from the Principle System Engineering and System Manager(s), initiate and facilitate strategic planning activities (capacity planning, process improvement, maintenance, upgrade and end-of-life planning, roadmap development).
  • Build new test and production environments on existing or new hardware as required.
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions.
  • Identify technical innovation and process improvement opportunities.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive and ongoing release management and planning program.
  • Utilize standard tools and methodology to develop system and support performance metrics.
  • Demonstrate potential leadership qualities through team motivation, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge & expertise with business processes and routines.
  • Research and recommend appropriate System Administration best practices, and tools.
  • Perform crisis management during high-severity operational incidents.

Position Overview: 
The Information Security Engineer will work with Information Security staff in the day-to-day execution of security tasks and projects, evaluate security components of the network, applications and End-User devices and provides support for incident response and closure. In addition, the Information Security Engineer will assist as directed in the development of the overall processes with respect to security engineering which will include operational security processes, procedures, guidelines and standards within IT and participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off-hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment.

  • Ensures new and existing systems meet regulatory and technical standards, studies and remains current on the relevant hardware, software and technology in all information security domains.
  • Development, monitoring and responding to security dashboards and alerts through analysis, maintenance and tuning support of enterprise SIEM system
  • Assist with the technical configuration, implementation, administration, management and maintenance of multiple security technologies and solutions including but not limited to a enterprise/industry level SIEM, MFA, IAM, IDS, and IPS
  • Assist with security audits, risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and security reviews periodically to ensure the security of corporate technology systems and data.

Salary Range: 100-119K
Hybrid work schedule: Remote + 2 days onsite weekly
Location: Remote / Tempe, AZ – must be based in Arizona or willing to relocate

Responsible for providing application development/support of Customer Relationship System. There is extensive development work from a project-based perspective that the successful candidate will be contributing to that will require them to work closely with other team members and clients to develop solutions to enhance existing business processes. Projects range from major to minor enhancements on existing systems, as well as new development. The position will work mainly with the Billing functionality within CRM.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, test, debug, document, and implement complex software solutions in support of the Customer Relationship System
  • Code and test solutions based upon the technical designs utilizing the methodologies, procedures, architectures and standards of the system and to be able to incorporate these into the construction process for the system
  • Develop and maintain existing system documentation
  • Support testing teams
  • Ensure solutions provide system stability by following application standards and development/support methodologies
  • Communicate status to client stakeholders, project managers, team leads, team members and management
  • Provide after-hour technical support as needed
  • Monitor program execution for expected performance and trouble shoot issues
  • Use design and coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality

Education
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is preferred

Experience

  • Strong COBOL, DB2, SQL, JCL knowledge are required
  • Experience with HTML, CICS, CICS Web Support, JavaScript, JQuery and MQSeries is helpful but not required
  • Experience with mainframe tools: TSO, ISPF, File-Aid, Savers, BMC, Xpediter, SCLM is beneficial
  • Knowledge or experience with mainframe and web development is beneficial
